A flying start with 2ba for Gunneman
Since 1951, Gunneman has been a specialist in explosion-proof and industrial lighting, signaling, and cable glands. To provide more complete advice to customers, particularly wholesalers, they were looking for an effective way to supply 2ba with all product data.
Uniform data according to the desired standard
As a specialist, Gunneman supplies various industrial wholesalers, who increasingly use 2ba and require suppliers to meet these standards, especially for products where Gunneman is the exclusive supplier or importer. For this product group, it is particularly important that all data is complete and up-to-date so wholesalers carrying these products can easily provide customers with the correct information.
Gunneman wants to stay aligned with the market, so it was considered how product data could be offered to 2ba in the best possible way. Achieving uniformity can be challenging! The ERP system does not include ETIM classification and does not provide a data layout accepted by 2ba. This gap needed to be closed, and that’s where Skwirrel came into play.

From the start, Skwirrel and Gunneman have been a good match. A pragmatic approach, ambitions to further develop, and constant availability to discuss possibilities ensured a smooth implementation. Today, Skwirrel not only provides complete and up-to-date product information with high quality, but also contributes to a more complete software landscape within Gunneman, enabling a flying start with 2ba.
Currently, Gunneman is reviewing which systems are in use and how integration can be improved, for example by connecting multiple systems. Fortunately, Gunneman sees all development opportunities within Skwirrel and knows how to reach us for any questions.
